Nate Bence Eagle Project – Build Planter Boxes

Sunday Jul 19 2020 / 09:00 AM - Sunday Jul 19 2020 / 12:00 PM

Redwood City

Event Contact: ASM Jay: jaypatel67@gmail.com
Event Location: Sandpiper Elementary School 797 Redwood Shores Parkway Redwood City

Looking for 6-10 volunteers (as family groups) for my Eagle Project on Sun July 19 from 9:00 a.m.-Noon at Sandpiper Elementary School. We will build four planter boxes and fill them with plants to benefit Sandpiper Middle School.  Tasks will include: (1) Assembling the boxes from precut wood with screws and nails; (2) Filling the boxes with soil; and (3) Planting succulents.

For each box assembly group, we will need a minimum of 2 people from the same household (for COVID safety reasons) and this must include someone 14 or over (to use an electric screwdriver per BSA tool usage requirements).  Due to COVID-19, each group will perform all of the above tasks to maintain social distance with other groups. Additional details are below, including a timeline and safety protocols.

This project will give you approximately 3-4 hours of community service. To access the service hour log, click here: http://rwstroop61.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Unit_Service_Hours-Fillable.pdf

Please sign up below if you are interested and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!
Scout Nate Bence
