Checkin opens at 9:30A next to the playground

Where: Sunrise’s Private Neighborhood Park & Tennis Court.
Across the street from 657 Martinique Drive.

Return to Scouting Protocols will be followed.

A pretrip meeting will occur during the Nov 4th Patrol Meeting.
What you need:
  • Your mask and personal hand sanitizer
  • If you have not turned in the 2020 form yet, each person should bring their medical form Part A+B (don’t forget to have a copy of your medical card)
  • 1L of water per person
  • Class B uniform if you are playing tennis.  Class A if you are not.
  • Please bring your ten essentials.
  • You will definitely need
    • Work Gloves (for Axe Yard),
    • Pocket Knife (do not use/open until you get your tote’n chip)
    • Physical Scoutbook
    • Closed Toe Shoes
    • Tennis Racket
  • Parents needed only at checkin and checkout/pickup.
    Parents should not stay unless RSVP is approved by the organizing leader.

Scouts will move between stations in groups of 2-3 scouts.
Each station will be about 20 minutes. (The Axe yard will be 40 minutes)

Preliminary Schedule

9:15A Senior Scout Checkin with Parent.  Setup Activity Stations (SSSS)

9:30A Mighty Moos Checkin with Parent.  Gathering Activity: Flag, First Aid, and Knot stations are open until 10A

10:00A  Flag Ceremony.   Scoutmaster Welcome.  Intro to Axe Yard rules for everyone.

10:20A –  Stations open

  • Axe Yard :  Totin’ Chit (40 minutes) [Joel]
    • Personal Gloves required (Part of ten essentials)
    • Tenderfoot 3d.  : knife/saw/axe.
  • First Aid [EDGE : Nick/Liam/Nico]
    • Tenderfoot 4a/b
    • 2nd class 6/a/b/c/d
  • Knots [Ryan]
    • Tenderfoot 3a/b/c
    • Makeups for Scout knots.
  • Flag [Claire]
    • Tenderfoot 7a (temporary COVID-19 requirements)
  •  Tennis [Nate/John]
    • play tennis
      • bring your own properly sized racquets. 
      • Balls will be numbered and assigned to each scout.  No “Sharing” of tennis balls.  You pick up only your own numbered balls.
      • Various size racquets will be available – but you will need to sanitize them before and after play.
  • Navigation [Nate]
    • First Class 4a (temporary COVID 19 requirements)
    • First Class 4b (temporary COVID 19 requirements)

11:50A  Tennis Court Closes.
12:00P  Stations Closed.  Checkout process (return med forms). Parents Pick up.  Senior Scouts Teardown.
12:30P Park returns to normal use.
