We meet twice a month at Redwood Shores Elementary School. Our aim is to provide a safe and challenging learning environment for your son through the methods and ideals of the Boy Scouts of America. We will build character, foster friendships, and nurture citizenship through a dynamic outdoor program that challenges the boys to live by the Scout Oath and Law.

Alps Mountaineering offers a substantial discount on camping equipment to scouters. Summer camp is approaching and although the troop will be providing tents, your scout may need additional gear. If you are in the market for a backpack, sleeping mat, or sleeping bag, be sure to check out their products. Use their regular website alpsmountaineering.com for product details and scoutdirect.com to register for their scout discount. Reference Troop 61 Pacific Skyline Council as your scout organization and just indicate you are a scout parent.

March 8 we will be preparing for out Pinnacles camping trip by planning our meals and our hike. We will also be playing a hide and seek game involving knots … be sure you know your basic knots … you will get a chance to practice them.
March 15 will be a regular “advancement” meeting. Be sure to register if you plan to attend for a Scout Master conference or Board of Review.
March 22 we will hold a quick Court of Honor. We will also play another game outside called the log game where you will again get to practice some knot skills. Camping March 23.
